Recommendation
Adjust the posted speed limit along Section Street (AKA County Road 3) from Wood Acres Road to Twin Echo Court to a consistent 35 MPH.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: In Fall 2025, residents living along County Road 3 addressed the County Commission to express concerns regarding posted speed limits along County Road 3 south of Fairhope. In response, engineers at the County Highway Department evaluated the County Road 3 corridor and confirmed inconsistencies with the existing posted speed. The review identified multiple locations where posted speed limits did not conform to applicable state laws. Posting this segment of roadway at 35 MPH as recommended would bring it into conformity with state requirements.
