STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Accept the conveyance of real property (Crosby and Catawba properties at Megasite) from the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, Inc. to the Baldwin County Commission, in accordance with the Transfer Agreements previously approved by the Commission on July 25, 2019.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  July 25, 2019, BCC Special Meeting - The Commission authorized the transfer of the Megasite property owned by Baldwin County to the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, Inc.  The purpose of the transfer of the property was to allow BCEDA to assist in the construction of certain improvements on the property, including railway, site prep, and other items related to the needs at the site to provide facilities and a location to a potential candidate for the Megasite, with the property to be conveyed back to the County upon completion of those improvements.
