STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Award Bid #WG25-46A for the Provision of Annual Traffic Signal Repair to Bagby & Russell Electric Company, Inc., per the Award Listing and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract. The Contract shall be effective immediately upon the same date as its full execution for a period of twelve (12) months.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on October 30, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. One (1) bid was received. Bagby & Russell Electric Company, Inc., had an exception to the indemnification verbiage in the contract. The exception was for warranty work to existing signals, related equipment, and materials. A letter was submitted by the company project manager stating Bagby & Russell Electric Company, Inc., is agreeable with a one (1) year after the end of the contract as an end time for the indemnification. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid for the Provision of Annual Traffic Signal Repair to Bagby & Russell Electric Company, Inc., as per the Award Listing. Letter attached for review.
Previous Commission action/date:
10/07/2025 meeting: Authorize the Purchasing Director to re-bid the Provision of Annual Traffic Signal Repair and further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
09/02/2025 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Annual Traffic Signal Repair; and
2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
