BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the 2026 Digital Orthophoto Acquisition was received in the Purchasing Conference Room on January 21, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Four (4) firms submitted a packet. The evaluation committee consisted of five (5) staff members. After reviewing the four (4) submittals, the evaluation committee scored Pictometry International Corp. d/b/a EagleView and G-Squared, LLC, the two (2) highest, and feels they both meet the requirements for the project. Staff recommends the Commission approve the request to begin negotiations with Pictometry International Corp. d/b/a EagleView and G-Squared, LLC, to determine cost efficiency and so that a final recommendation for the award can be made to the Baldwin County Commission.
Previous Commission action/date: 12/16/2025 meeting: Authorized the Purchasing Director to advertise the RFQ for the acquisition of countywide orthophotos and optional building footprint data.
The BCC has maintained a full suite of GIS data dating back to 1996.
