STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Award Bid #WG26-01 for the Provision of Fiber Optic Network-Maintenance and Locates to B&L Cable Construction, LLC, per the Award Listing and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract. The Contract is effective for twelve (12) months and commences immediately upon the same date as full execution, with an option to issue two (2) twelve (12) month contracts.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Bids were opened in the Purchasing Conference Room on October 30, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. One (1) bid was received. Staff recommends the Commission award the bid to B&L Cable Construction, LLC, per the Award Listing and authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract.
Previous Commission action/date: 10/07/2025 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications for the Provision of Fiber Optic Network-Maintenance and Locates and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

Total cost of recommendation: $8,210.00 per month. ($98,520.00 Annually)
