STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

1) Authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road Intersection Improvements Project; and

2) Authorize the Chairman to execute any project-related documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Highway Department is preparing plans and specifications for U.S. Highway 98 at Old Foley Road to realign the intersection, improving sight distance, and adding a turn lane onto Old Foley Road to reduce traffic hazards. This project was funded in the FY 24 Budget for construction.
