STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the revised specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to re-bid for the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 30 ft. x 40 ft. x 14 ft. Metal Building Located in Bay Minette, Alabama; and
2) Further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The CIS (Communications/Information Systems) staff has revised the specifications for the purchase and installation of one (1) new 30 ft. x 40 ft. x 14 ft. metal building. Staff recommendation is to approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to re-bid for the purchase and installation of one (1) new 30 ft. x 40 ft. x 14 ft. metal building.
Previous Commission action/date:
03/07/2023 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 30 ft. x 40 ft. x 14 ft. Metal Building Located in Bay Minette, Alabama; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid was advertised.
04/18/2023 meeting: Rejected all bids received for the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 30 ft. x 40 ft. x 14 ft. Metal Building Located in Bay Minette, Alabama because the bid amounts received exceeded the budgeted amount and staff will request permission to re-bid the project at a later date.
