Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack requests the honor to present Life Saver Awards to (2) two deputies for their efforts in saving the life of a Baldwin County citizen.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Background: On January 26, 2020, Deputy Sheriff’s Corrections Officer Travis Allen, while off duty, rendered lifesaving aid to a gunshot wound victim using his belt from his pants to create a tourniquet while waiting on deputy sheriffs and life-flight to arrive on scene. Once on the scene, Deputy Buchanan deployed the BCSO issued tourniquet to the wound. The citizen was flown to the hospital for further treatment. Due to the efforts of DSC Allen and Deputy Buchanan, the citizen’s life was saved.
