STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the Fiscal Year 2026 Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) Strategic Initiatives/Local Overtime Cost Reimbursement Agreement for the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) to participate in HSTF Strategic Initiatives/Local Overtime Cost Reimbursement of overtime for working on approved cases for HSTF; and
2) Authorize the Baldwin County Sheriff, Anthony Lowery, to execute the Agreement.
The term of this Agreement is October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: HSTF objectives center on dismantling dangerous transnational criminal organizations and protecting homeland by uniting federal, state, and local partners to target threats like human trafficking, drug smuggling, money laundering, and terrorism, ensuring criminals face justice and safeguarding critical infrastructure and communities. These task forces coordinate intelligence and law enforcement to disrupt complex criminal networks involved in various federal violations, extending reach and sharing information in real-time to combat evolving.
