BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Highway Department is submitting for Commission approval Change Order #3 in the amount of $23,350.23 for Project No. HW21103000 - The Launch at County Road 6. The change order will include the addition of two piling and associated brackets at the Kayak Launch, modifications to the handrails on the fishing piers, and add 7 days to the contract time.
Previous Commission action/date:
11/05/2024 meeting: Approved Change Order #2 in the amount of $141,705.92 with McElhenney Construction Company, LLC, for Project No. HW21103000 - The Launch at County Road 6 and authorized the Chairman to execute the Change Order.
09/17/2024 meeting: Approved Change Order #1 in the amount of $99,413.16 with McElhenney Construction Company, LLC, for Project No. HW21103000 - The Launch at County Road 6 and authorized the Chairman to execute the Change Order.
05/07/2024 meeting: Awarded the bid for Project No. HW21103000 - The Launch at County Road 6 to the lowest bidder, McElhenney Construction Co., LLC, in the Bid Amount $5,248,877.37; Construction Time: 135 working days; and authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract.
