STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Related to the Christmas Extravaganza, rescind the following actions taken by the Baldwin County Commission during its July 2, 2024, Regular Meeting (Agenda Item FC1):
“1) Authorize staff to coordinate/promote/host the events including the Christmas Extravaganza at Baldwin County Bicentennial Park. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and will be free of charge to the public; and
2) Authorize staff to implement a vendor fee of $50 for vendors wishing to set up and sell products/goods at the Christmas Extravaganza; and
4) Approve the festival flyer and vendor applications.”

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Due to the challenges and stresses on resources of putting on the Holiday Light Drive Thru Display and Christmas Extravaganza while containing costs, staff recommends forgoing the Extravaganza on December 14th. The requested action is for the Commission to rescind portions of the action taken on July 2, 2024, (Agenda Item FC1), more specifically, staff recommendations #1, #2, and #4).
