Adopt a Proclamation which proclaims the month of April 2026 as “Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month” and “Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month” in Baldwin County, Alabama.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which focuses on raising awareness of child abuse and neglect and educating the public on prevention. April is also National Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month, which seeks to raise awareness, find solutions, and foster community involvement.
Representatives from Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center (CARE House) and The Lighthouse will be present at the meeting to accept the Proclamation.
Previous Commission action/date: April 1, 2025 - Adopted a Proclamation proclaiming April 2025 as “Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month” and “Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month” in Baldwin County.
