Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Change Order No. 1 for the cost for multiple labor and trip charges due to issues with the gas service supply from the utility company in the amount of $7,786.00 with Moody’s Electric, Inc., on the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 96 kW Natural Gas Generator with 400 AMP Automatic Transfer Switch for the Baldwin County Foley Satellite Courthouse located in Foley, Alabama.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Director of Facilities and Maintenance is submitting for Commission approval Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $7,786.00 on the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 96 kW Natural Gas Generator with 400 AMP Automatic Transfer Switch for the Baldwin County Foley Satellite Courthouse. This change order is for the cost for multiple labor and trip charges due to issues with the gas service supply from the utility company to the generator.
The original construction cost of $79,879.00 will be increased to the new construction cost of $87,665.00 and will not increase the construction time.
Previous Commission action/date:
12/16/2025 meeting: Awarded Bid #WG26-08 for the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 96 kW Natural Gas Generator with 400 AMP Automatic Transfer Switch for the Baldwin County Foley Satellite Courthouse located in Foley, Alabama, to the lowest bidder, Moody’s Electric, Inc., per the Award Listing and authorized the Chairman to execute the contract.
11/06/2025 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorized the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Purchase and Installation of One (1) New 96 kW Natural Gas Generator with 400 AMP Automatic Transfer Switch for the Baldwin County Foley Satellite Courthouse located in Foley, Alabama; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.
