BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Background: The above alcohol license application was received on March 17, 2025, for a special one-time event taking place on March 30, 2025. Due to time constraints, staff is submitting the request as an addendum item for the March 18th meeting. If the request is approved by the Commission, the alcohol license can be issued by the State ABC Board prior to the event. Staff recommendation includes waiving of BCC Policy #2.6 requiring a public notice sign being placed on the subject property for seven days prior to Commission approval, and the applicant providing documentation related to a health department permit.

Staff has verified sales tax requirements have been satisfied, the proposed use is allowed, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office does not oppose the issuance of the license.

Beer, wine, and liquor will be sold at the special event, and no alcoholic beverages are allowed to leave the licensed premises, Belforest Pointe event hall.
