Recommendation
Approve the request from Rosinton School for the use of County Road 64, County Road 69, County Road 62 and County Road 71, in Robertsdale, Alabama, as a detour route for the 20th Annual 5K Armadillo Dash on Saturday, March 7, 2026, beginning at 8:45 a.m. and ending approximately at 10:00 a.m.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Staff received a request from Mr. Joseph A. Benton, Principal of Rosinton School, on January 15, 2026, regarding the 20th Annual 5K Armadillo Dash (see attached request). Insurance for the Armadillo Dash is covered under the Rosinton School Insurance Policy.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office will provide security for the event.
Previous Commission action/date: February 4, 2025 - Approved the route for the 19th Annual 5K Armadillo Dash.
