STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Baldwin County Commission and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) for the provision of food services at the Baldwin County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
The MOU shall take effect on the date of its full execution and shall expire in twelve (12) months at which time it shall terminate; however, it may be renewed by mutual agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the BCSO. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, the Baldwin County Commission or BCSO may terminate the MOU by written notification to the other.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: Food service would be for the primary provision of breakfast, lunch, and dinner service seven (7) days a week. BCSO will now provide all meals to Juvenile Detention instead of only on holidays and weekends. There is no cost per meal increase for this contract.
Previous Commission action/date: 07/01/2025 - Approved the MOU between BCC and BCSO for the provision of food services at the Baldwin County Regional JDC for twelve (12) months.
