STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Accept the Settlement Claim presented by Progressive Group of Insurance Companies regarding Claim #26-790947560-02 for $26,389.44 and authorize the Clerk/Treasurer to take any and all actions related to the same; and
2) Authorize the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office to purchase a 2027 Chevrolet Tahoe using the funds received from this claim settlement to replace the totaled 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe; and
3) Authorize the transfer of funds from General Fund to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office budget line item 52100.52340 to cover the purchase of a 2027 Chevrolet Tahoe to replace the totaled 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Background: On June 9, 2026, a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was involved in a motor vehicle accident. A settlement was offered in the amount of $26,389.44 for the 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe.
