STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the Memorandum of Agreement between the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for overtime reimbursement for assigned Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office agents assisting in drug trafficking cases.
This Agreement commenced October 1, 2026, and will expire September 30, 2031. This Agreement may be terminated by either party on thirty (30) days’ advance written notice.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The BCSO has actively participated in the DEA program for numerous years. It is an overtime reimbursement for assigned agents from the BCSO. Our agents assist the federal government in conducting undercover operations, investigate, disrupt and dismantle individuals and/or organizations involved in diversion schemes of controlled pharmaceuticals and/or listed chemicals in the Baldwin County area.
