STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the Customer Service Agreement between Fast Pace Health and the Baldwin County Commission (Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office) for an additional occupational health services provider.

The Agreement will commence on the date of execution by the County and shall expire after one (1) year. It will automatically renew for an additional one (1) year term. The Agreement may be terminated by either party, for any reason or no reason at all, upon ninety (90) days’ written notice.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Background:  The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office needs additional occupational health providers for post-accident treatment and pre-employment screenings. Due to a provider shortage, employees and applicants are driving long distances or out of county to obtain services. The two current providers are located on the Eastern Shore and in the North end of the county.

Fast Pace Health offers two additional locations, Spanish Fort and Foley, with extended service hours seven days a week. This option is more conducive to the seven-day work week for Sheriff’s Office employees. It also provides additional and convenient options for potential new hires to complete pre-employment screenings.
