STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the Supplemental Agreement No. 2 between the Baldwin County Commission and the State of Alabama relative to a Pass Through of Federal Funds for Public Transportation Project for the Eastern Shore Urbanized Area in Baldwin County.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  This Supplemental Agreement No. 2 provides an extension for the time of performance from September 30, 2024, to September 30, 2026.

 

Section 5307 Federal Transit Administration funds will pass through the Alabama Department of Transportation to the Baldwin County Commission for the Fairhope and Loxley Transit Hub construction projects.  The Fairhope construction is complete; however, the final invoice has not been processed by the City of Fairhope. The Loxley construction project is estimated to be complete in FY2025. The municipalities of Fairhope and Loxley are responsible for the local match required for these construction projects. 

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

August 15, 2023 - BCC approved the FY2024 Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to extend the Pass Through of Federal Funds Agreement to September 30, 2024.

 

August 16, 2022 - BCC approved the FY2023 Pass Through of Federal Funds Agreement for the 5307 Urban Transportation Program.
