BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The Baldwin County Commission prepared the Draft First Amendment to the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery Program (CDBG-DR) Citizen Participation Plan (CPP) to comply with the requirements specified in 24 CFR 570.486 and the Federal Register Notice Volume 87, No. 23 (February 3, 2022) and Volume 87, No. 100 (May 24, 2022) in response to Hurricanes Sally and Zeta. The Draft First Amendment to Baldwin County’s CDBG-DR CPP was made available for public review and comment on the Grants Department website (baldwincountyal.gov) for a 30-day period from May 21, 2025, to June 20, 2025. No public comments were received. Additionally, the Grants Department conducted a Public Hearing on June 2, 2025, to promote accessibility, address regulatory updates, and enhance public engagement procedures; no comments were received during the hearing.
Previous Commission action/date:
August 6, 2024 - The BCC conducted a Public Hearing regarding the adoption of the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Citizen Participation Plan (CPP). Following the Public Hearing, the Baldwin County Commission adopted Resolution #2024-147, approving the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Citizen Participation Plan (CPP).
