BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Background:  Edeltraud “Judy” Jordan, 87, a resident of Lillian passed away on September 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Jordan.

Judy was born in Germany. She lived through WWII in Germany and married an American soldier stationed in occupied Germany after WWII. She was a world traveler and lived in different countries in Europe. She was the owner of Jordan’s Antiques and Collectibles and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lillian. Judy was inurned with her husband at Barrancas National Cemetery.

The Baldwin County Animal Shelter received a generous donation from the late Edeltraud “Judy” Jordan’s estate, part of which is designated for a spay / neuter program. The shelter has been developing this initiative for the benefit of the citizens of Baldwin County. Following the utilization of the late Ms. Jordan’s donation, the shelter aims to sustain the program going forward through continued donations from citizens.

Citizens can go to https://services.baldwincountyal.gov/BCASVPORTAL/ to enter their information and upon completion, will receive a discount voucher code to present at the County approved veterinary offices. The veterinary office will verify the discount voucher code on the website and invoice the County for the discount voucher.
