STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Adopt Resolution #2025-040, which approves Case No. Z24-44, Fletcher Property Rezoning, as it pertains to the rezoning of ±22 acres, more or less, as located in Planning (Zoning) District 39, from BCZ, Base Community Zoning District, to B-2, Neighborhood Business District.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background: The subject property is currently zoned BCZ, Base Community Zoning District, and is located south of County Road 32 and east of State Highway 181 in Fairhope. The applicant is requesting to rezone 22 acres from BCZ to B-2, Neighborhood Business District, to allow for an existing event venue on the property installed prior to the adoption of zoning to be expanded.

 

The Planning Commission recommended APPROVAL at their November 7, 2024, meeting.
