BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: With the adoption of the FY2026 Budget, the County Commission increased the county salary supplement for each of the six court reporters in the Twenty-Eighth Judicial Circuit from $4,500.00 to $7,000.00 annually.
Section 45-2-82.43, Code of Alabama (1975), provides as follows:

The supplement shall be paid in equal installments from the county treasury at the same time and in the same manner that the salaries of county employees are paid.
