STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1) Approve the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Hinote Glass Road at State Route 59 Intersection Improvements Project; and

 

2) Approve the Chairman to execute any project related documents.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Highway Department is preparing plans and specifications to realign the intersection of Hinote Glass Road, State Route 59 and Railroad Avenue to improve sight distance and reduce traffic hazards.

Previous Commission action/date:  January 7, 2025 - The Commission approved establishing recommended speed limits on the following roads:

Hinote Glass Road between State Highway 59 and Cabinet Shop Road - 25 MPH

Hinote Glass Road between Cabinet Shop Road and County Road 65 - 35 MPH
