STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Award the lowest responsible quote to Port City Glass & Mirror, Inc., in the amount of $39,800.00 for the Purchase and Installation of Storefront Doors in Baldwin County Central Annex Building located in Robertsdale, Alabama, and authorize the Chairman to execute the Public Works Contract and Certificate of Compliance.

 

Contract shall be effective and commence immediately upon the same date as its full execution and shall terminate upon the expiration of no more than seventy (70) days after the Notice to Proceed is issued.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  Staff solicited quotes for the Purchase and Installation of Storefront Doors in Baldwin County Central Annex Building. Two (2) quotes and one (1) “no quote” were received. The lowest quote was received from Glass Systems of Alabama; however, it did not include the electrical components needed. Staff recommends the Commission approve the lowest responsible quote that best meets the specifications and authorize the Chairman to execute the Public Works Contract and Certificate of Compliance. Quote Tabulation attached for review.
