STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Professional Services Agreements between the Baldwin County Commission (Baldwin County Animal Shelter) and the following Veterinary Clinics for services outlined in the Agreements for dogs and cats delivered to the Veterinarians’ offices by the County:
Happy Acres Veterinary Clinic
Bay Minette Animal Clinic
Central Baldwin Veterinary Hospital
Safe Harbor Animal Coalition
The Agreements shall commence on January 6, 2026, and continue for a period of two (2) years expiring January 6, 2028, with an automatic renewal for one (1) year expiring January 6, 2029, unless terminated by either party by giving a sixty (60) day written notice of such termination. These Agreements hereby supersede and replace in their entirety the original Agreements approved on September 6, 2022, and January 17, 2023.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The current Agreements with Happy Acres Veterinary Clinic, Bay Minette Animal Clinic, and Central Baldwin Veterinary Hospital are set to expire January 17, 2026. The Agreement with Safe Harbor Animal Coalition expired on September 6, 2025. The new agreements have updated pricing.
Previous Commission action/date: 01/17/2023 - Approved the Professional Services Agreements with Happy Acres Veterinary Clinic, Bay Minette Animal Clinic, and Central Baldwin Veterinary Hospital.
09/06/2022 - Approved the Professional Services Agreement with Safe Harbor Animal Coalition.
