STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve the request from Rosinton Elementary School to use County Road 64, County Road 69, County Road 62 and County Road 71 in Robertsdale to hold its 15th Annual 5K Armadillo Dash on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office providing the necessary security.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  On February 5, 2019, the Baldwin County Commission approved the 14th Annual 5K Armadillo Dash, held on March 30, 2019.

 

Background:  Staff received a request from Mr. Joseph A. Benton, Principal of Rosinton Elementary School to use County Road 64, County Road 69, County Road 62 and County Road 71 in Robertsdale to hold its 15th Annual Armadillo Dash 5K on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office providing the necessary security.  A 1 Mile Fun Run and Walk will follow as well as other fun, family activities.

 

Insurance for the Armadillo Dash is covered under the Rosinton Elementary School Insurance Policy.  Participants are required to sign a Waiver of Liability Agreement Release Form per the event coordinators.
