STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the employment of Heather Murphy to fill the open Landscape Technician I position (#5139) at a grade 306 ($17.88 per hour / $37,190.40 annually); and
2) Approve the employment of John Lee Pair to fill the open Landscape Technician I position (#5763) at a grade 306 ($17.88 per hour / $37,190.40 annually); and
3) Approve the employment of Aramis Robinson-Hankins to fill the open Landscape Technician I position (#1003) at a grade 306 ($17.88 per hour / $37,190.40 annually); and
4) Approve the promotion of R. Jacob Boutwell from the Operator Technician III position (#5403) grade 310 ($22.99 per hour / $47,819.20 annually), in the Highway Traffic Operations Department (11153135) to fill the Mechanic II position (#5524) at a grade 312 ($24.83 per hour / $51,646.40 annually, in the Parks and Recreation Department (14457200).
These actions shall be effective no sooner than January 26, 2026.

Background: The Landscape Technician I and Mechanic II positions were vacated by the resignations of the previous employees. The Parks and Recreation Director respectfully requests that the above recommendations are approved.
