Lower the speed limit on County Road 64 between Cabinet Shop Road and Railroad Avenue from 45 MPH to 35 MPH.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Background:  Greg Smith, City of Loxley Public Works Director, submitted a request to change the speed limit on this segment of County Road 64 based on the recent opening of Loxley Elementary School and increased traffic flow. In the past 12 months, daily traffic has increased approximately 14% along this segment of road. A traffic study was conducted, and the results affirm the need for this speed limit adjustment. This segment of County Road 64 is in the police jurisdiction of Loxley Police Department.
