STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Approve an Intergovernmental Service Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and Historic Blakeley Authority for the Highway Department to assist with roadway paving in Historic Blakeley State Park with cost of materials not to exceed $300,000.00. (This agreement shall be effective upon full execution by both parties and terminate after twelve (12) months unless terminated by either party upon delivery of a thirty (30) day notice of termination.)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Historic Blakeley Authority is requesting assistance from Baldwin County to perform roadway paving in the park. Funding for roadway paving materials was approved by the Commission in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget. Labor and equipment for the project will be donated by the County.

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

January 16, 2024 - The Commission approved an Intergovernmental Service Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and Historic Blakeley Authority for the Highway Department to assist with roadway paving in Historic Blakeley State Park with cost of materials not to exceed $217,000. (This agreement shall be effective upon full execution by both parties and terminate after twelve (12) months unless terminated by either party upon delivery of a thirty (30) day notice of termination.

Total cost of recommendation:  $300,000.00
