STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1) Adopt Resolution #2025-058 of the Baldwin County Commission approving Amendment #1 to the Subrecipient Agreement with the City of Loxley for the ARPA-Funded Water Capacity Improvement Project; and

 

2) Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment #1 to the Subrecipient Agreement with the City of Loxley.

The period of performance for this Agreement shall begin on the date of execution of the Agreement by both parties and shall end upon the completion of the project or on February 28, 2025.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The Baldwin County Commission, during its regularly scheduled meeting held on July 5, 2023, took actions to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the City of Loxley.  The Agreement reflects a period of performance and associated budget period extending through August 31, 2024.  This Amendment #1 to the Agreement extends the budget period and period of performance until 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2025, to allow for completion of the water infrastructure project and grant closeout.

Previous Commission action/date:  A summary of previous Commission ARPA action is attached.

 

July 5, 2023 - BCC approved Resolution #2023-135 of the Baldwin County Commission allocating up to $750,000.00 of ARPA funds to the City of Loxley for a Water Infrastructure Project; and authorized the Chairman to execute the Agreement between the Baldwin County Commission and the City of Loxley, contingent on acceptance and execution by the municipality.

Total cost of recommendation:  No additional funds needed.
