Adopt a Proclamation which proclaims May 2019, as “Older Americans Month” and sets aside May 9, 2019, as “Older Americans Day” in Baldwin County, Alabama.

Background: “Older Americans Month” is celebrated in May throughout the nation to acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of Older Americans.
The Baldwin County Council on Aging has asked the Baldwin County Commission to proclaim May 2019, “Older Americans Month” in Baldwin County, Alabama to pay tribute to our senior citizens.
Mrs. Kelly Childress, Council on Aging Coordinator, along with Mr. Jim Hutchinson, Robertsdale AARP Tax Site Coordinator and other AARP tax volunteers, will be present to accept the proclamation.
