STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution #2026-106 authorizing the transfer of ownership, maintenance, and responsibility for portions of Buckingham Boulevard from U.S. Highway 31 running north approximately 2,600 feet and Arlington Boulevard from the intersection of Buckingham Boulevard running west and north approximately 1,500 feet to the City of Spanish Fort.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The portions of Buckingham Boulevard and Arlington Boulevard are bounded on both sides by the corporate limits of the City of Spanish Fort or located within the City of Spanish Fort but responsibility is vested in the County.
The City of Spanish Fort desires to assume responsibility for the portions of Buckingham Boulevard and Arlington Boulevard to facilitate the orderly development and maintenance of this area in its corporate limits.
The Commission funded the resurfacing of Buckingham Boulevard and Arlington Boulevard in the FY 2026 Budget.
