STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
As requested by the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, authorize the Chairman to execute letters of support to House and Senate members in support of a $891,300.00 FY 2027 Congressionally Directed Spending / Community Project Funding for the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit for their Digital Forensic Capacity and Technology Project.

Background: The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is requesting letters of support from the Commission for funding of its ICAC Unit to assist in investigations which require sophisticated digital forensic tools, secure evidence storage, and specialized investigative technology that most local agencies cannot independently purchase or maintain.
