STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Conduct a Public Hearing regarding the proposed amendment to the Baldwin County Floodplain Development Ordinance.
Following the public hearing, the Building Official recommends the Baldwin County Commission adopt the proposed amendment to the Baldwin County Floodplain Development Ordinance.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: The proposed amendment removes an exception to the manufactured home elevation requirements in Article 4, Section B. When Base Flood Elevation (BFE) data is available, manufactured homes will be required to meet the County’s one-foot-above-BFE standard to provide greater protection from flood risk.
Previous Commission action/date: February 20, 2024 - Adopted the Baldwin County Floodplain Development Ordinance.
