STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Establish a speed limit of 30 MPH on George Younce Road from Underwood Road south to end of maintenance; and
2) Establish a speed limit of 25 MPH on Forest View Road; and
3) Establish a speed limit of 25 MPH on Hill Top Drive, east and west of Forest View Road.
End
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Background: George Younce Road is a recent dirt road paving project. A speed limit of 30 MPH is appropriate given the results of the traffic study. George Younce Road is in the jurisdiction of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Forest View Road is an unposted County maintained road. Given the results of the traffic study, 25 MPH is an appropriate speed limit. Forest View Drive is in the jurisdiction of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Hill Top Drive has 11 driveways over its 0.35 mile length. This density, along with all surrounding and adjoining roads being posted at 25 MPH, makes this change appropriate. Hill Top Drive is in the jurisdiction of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
