STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1) Approve the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Contract for Services under Title III Older Americans Act (Contract #302-AAA-2025) between the Baldwin County Commission (Council on Aging) and South Alabama Regional Planning Commission (SARPC), for funds in the amount of $145,052.00 for operating expenses related to providing services for older individuals throughout Baldwin County; and

 

2) Authorize the Chairman to execute the Contract for Services and any related documents.

 

This Contract will be effective October 1, 2024, and terminates September 30, 2025.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

July 2, 2024: Approved the Baldwin County Council on Aging Coordinator to submit the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission/Area Agency on Aging Application for Title III Funding for FY 2025, requesting funds in the amount of $146,106.94 effective October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. Said funding will support the operations of the Baldwin County Council on Aging program.

 

Background:  Each year the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission provides Title III Federal funds and State funds to support the operations of the Baldwin County Council on Aging programs. This contract is for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025, from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Total cost of recommendation:  Upon approval, Council on Aging would receive Title III funding in the amount of $145,052.00 ($121,552.00 in Federal funds and $23,500.00 in State funds) from SARPC in Fiscal Year 2024-2025.

 

Budget line item(s) to be used:  140.44400 SARPC Contract Revenue
