STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Authorize staff to release the Surety Document (Maintenance Bond) from Granite Re, Inc., on behalf of Bill Patterson Construction, Inc., for Dogwood Estates Subdivision, Phase 1, in the amount of $491,082.79 which guarantees the workmanship and materials of the roadways and drainage improvements within the public rights-of-way as shown on the approved Final Plat and “As-Built” construction plans.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Background:  The workmanship and materials for the roadways and drainage improvements have been inspected and approved in accordance with the Baldwin County Subdivision Regulations.

 

Previous Commission action/date:  April 2, 2024 - Regarding Subdivision Case No. S-21067 - Dogwood Estates, Phase 1, the Commission accepted Roughleaf Drive (1,297 ft), Red Clay Street (315 ft), Pagoda Lane (330 ft) and Treehill Lane (1,377 ft) for maintenance and authorized the roads to be added to the County Maintained Road List. The Commission also approved and authorized the Chairman to execute the Subdivision Roadway and Drainage Improvement Acceptance Agreement and accepted the Surety Document from Granite Re, Inc., on behalf of Bill Patterson Construction, Inc., in the amount of $491,082.79 to guarantee the workmanship and materials of the roadways and drainage improvements within the public rights-of-way as shown on the approved Final Plat and “As-Built” construction plans.
