STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

1) Approve the promotion of Ryan McKain from the Operator Technician Trainee position (#5488) grade 306 ($16.95 per hour / $35,256.00 annually) to fill the open Operator Technician I position (#675) at a grade 308 ($18.31 per hour / $38,084.80 annually); and

2) Approve the employment of Matt Byrd to fill the open Operator Technician Trainee position (#5488) at grade 306 ($16.54 per hour / $34,403.20 annually).

These changes shall be effective no sooner than August 12, 2024.

Background:  The Operator Technician I position was vacated due to promotion of previous employee. The Assistant County Engineer respectfully requests that the above recommendations are approved.
