STAFF RECOMMENDATION

 

Take the following actions:

 

Recommendation

1) Approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Road Signs; and

 

2) Further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date: 

4/03/2018 meeting: 1) Approved the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Road Signs; and 2) Further, authorized the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

5/15/2018 meeting:  Rejected all bids received and authorized the Purchasing Director to bring revised specifications back to the Commission for approval at a later date.

 

Background: 

 

The Highway Department has revised the specifications for the Provision of Road Signs and is requesting that a competitive bid be placed.  Recommend the Commission approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Provision of Road Signs.
