Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Authorize the sale of 2006 Dodge Durango (VIN#1D8HB38N26F177395) on GovDeals.com. The vehicle is currently housed at the Baldwin County Sales & Use Tax/License Inspection office; and
2) Authorize the sale of 2006 Ford Crown Victoria (VIN#2FAFP73V66X124778) on GovDeals.com. The vehicle is currently housed at the Baldwin County Sales & Use Tax/License Inspection office.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: N/A
Background: The Baldwin County Sales & Use Tax/License Inspection Department currently has two (2) vehicles; a 2006 Dodge Durango with 85,511 miles and a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria with 99,278 miles. These vehicles are no longer being used due to various repair needs.
The FY2018 budget approved for two (2) new vehicles to be purchased to replace these older vehicles.
BCC Policy #8.8 states that any surplus fixed assets are to be sold by auction. The Baldwin County Sales & Use Tax/License Inspector Office recommends that the County sell these vehicles on GovDeals.com and the funds from the sale of these vehicles be deposited into the General Fund.
