Background: On Tuesday September 11, 2018, Mr. John Wilson with the Baldwin County School Board sent notification via email, after speaking with Superintendent Eddie Tyler, that in the interest from a security and liability stand point the recycle bins located on school grounds would need to be removed. This email comes after receiving notification on August 28, 2018 from the Town of Loxley that their Town Council voted to remove the Baldwin County Solid Waste recycle bin near the old school location within their corporate limits. This change will decrease the number of drop-off recycle locations from 31 to 24. Baldwin County Solid Waste will continue to research possible locations for the bins being removed to be relocated.
