Background: The subject property is currently zoned B-1, Professional Business District, and is currently used as commercial. The subject property is occupied with two structures. The property adjoins South Holley Street to the west and Black Devine Road to the south. The adjoining properties to the north and east are residential. The adjacent property to the west is commercial. The requested zoning designation is B-4 Major Commercial District. According to the submitted information, the purpose of this request is to allow for car sales.
The Planning Commission considered this request at its September 6, 2018, meeting and voted to recommend approval of B-3, General Business District with a Conditional Use to the County Commission.

In addition, and as required, the regular legal publication for the Baldwin County Commission Public Hearing for Case No. Z-18042 is currently running as well as the required display, one quarter page advertisement. Regular legal run dates are September 18, 2018, September 26, 2018, and October 3, 2018. Display, one-quarter page run date is September 26, 2018. Proof of publication for both the Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Commission and the Baldwin County Commission public hearings are forthcoming and will be provided to the Records Manager prior to the final public hearing date of October 16, 2018.
