STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following action:

 

Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Professional Service Agreement Renewals for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Services with Baldwin Animal Clinic, Bay Minette Animal Clinic, Colony Animal Clinic and Robertsdale Animal Clinic. The agreements commence on October 16, 2018, and continue for a period of ninety (90) days (expiring on January 14, 2019) with an automatic renewal for one additional ninety (90) day term (expiring April 14, 2019).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

 

Previous Commission action/date:  05/01/2018 and 08/21/2018 the following actions were taken:

 

Background: 

On August 21, 2018, the Baldwin County Commission approved and authorized the Chairman to execute Professional Service Agreements for the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Services with the Eastern Shore Pet Hospital and the Lillian Veterinarian Hospital. The agreements commenced on August 21, 2018, and will continue for a period of ninety (90) days (expiring on November 19, 2018) with an automatic renewal for one additional ninety (90) day term (expiring February 17, 2019). The Commission also authorized the Chairman to execute any additional TNR Professional Service Agreements (with same terms) in the future and have those Agreements entered into the record at the next available Commission meeting.

 

On May 1, 2018, the Baldwin County Commission authorized the funding of the Baldwin County Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Program from the Fund 780 (donations), to be managed by the Baldwin County Animal Shelter with funding not to exceed $19,000.00. The Commission also approved and authorized the Chairman to execute Professional Services Agreements for TNR Services with Baldwin Animal Clinic, Happy Acres Veterinary Clinic, Colony Animal Clinic, Animal Medical Center, Robertsdale Animal Clinic and Bay Minette Animal Clinic. These agreements commenced on May 1, 2018, and continued for a period of ninety (90) days (expiring on July 20, 2018) with an automatic renewal for one additional ninety (90) day term (expiring on October 28, 2018).
