STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Take the following actions:

 

1) Approve the employment of Emmanuel Williams to fill the open Solid Waste Technician (PID #5251) at a grade G-EL ($12.967 per hour / $26,971.36 annually) in the Solid Waste Collections Department (54800) to be effective no sooner than February 25, 2019; and

 

2) Approve the employment of Jeffrey Allen Jr to fill the open Solid Waste Technician (PID #5243) at a grade G-EL ($12.967 per hour / $26,971.36 annually) in the Solid Waste Collections Department (54800) to be effective no sooner than February 25, 2019; and

 

3) Approve the employment of Edward Sanders Jr to fill the open Solid Waste Technician (PID #5241) at a grade G-EL ($12.967 per hour / $26,971.36 annually) in the Solid Waste Collections Department (54800) to be effective no sooner than February 25, 2019; and

 

4) Approve the voluntary demotion of Keith Anderson from the Mechanic II position (PID #5272) grade I-EL ($15.629 per hour / $32,508.32 annually), in the Solid Waste Maintenance Department (54370) to fill the open Landfill Equipment Operator II position (PID #1049) at a grade H-01 ($14.600 per hour / $30,368.00 annually), in the Solid Waste Landfill Department (54300), to be effective no sooner than March 4, 2019.

Background:  The Landfill Equipment Operator II and Solid Waste Technician positions were vacated in December 2018 and January 2019, due to the resignation/termination of the previous employees.  The Development and Environmental Director respectfully requests that the above recommendations are approved.
