Recommendation
Approve the request from Mr. Mike Bunn, Director of Operations for the Historic Blakeley State Park, for the use of two (2) Baldwin Regional Area Transit System (BRATS) buses to shuttle guests from the main parking area to the venues for the Living History Event Commemorating the Battle of Fort Blakeley on April 6, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and authorize the County to donate the use of one bus (at a total cost of $630.00 including commute time) and for the Historic Blakeley State Park to pay for the use of one bus at a total cost of $630.00 including commute time.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: N/A
Background: The Commission received a request, on February 22, 2019, from Mr. Mike Bunn, Director of Operations for the Historic Blakeley State Park, for the use of two (2) BRATS buses for the Living History Event Commemorating the Battle of Fort Blakeley on April 6, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mr. Bunn has requested the County donate the use of a bus and Blakeley State Park will pay for the use of the other at a cost of $630.00 (including commute time) to the County.
Per Chandra Middleton, Assistant Director of Transportation, the cost for the use of one (1) BRATS bus for this event is $60.00 per hour for 10.5 hours which includes the commute and inspection time for a total cost of $630.00.
