Recommendation
Approve lowering the speed limits on the following roads:
Charolais Road between County Road 65 and South Hickory Street from 45 MPH to 35 MPH; and
County Road 64 between Rigsby Road and County Road 54 East from 55 MPH to 45 MPH.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: N/A
Background:
The proposed speed limit on Charolais Road is appropriate relative to the length and geometry of the road. The posted limit on Charolais Road west of County Road 65 is 25 MPH. This proposed speed will provide a smoother transition after crossing County Road 65.
The proposed speed limit on County Road 64 is appropriate relative to the length of the road as well a high number of businesses located on this section of County Road 64.
Both proposed speed limits are also based on Engineering judgement. Both roads are in the jurisdiction of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
