Recommendation
Take the following actions:
1) Approve the specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid for the Purchase of One (1) Chemical Injector System Upgrade to Mid-Tech TASC 6300 and Upgrade to Front Bumper Mounted/Extended Boom Radial Mount Spray Heads or Equal; and
2) Further, authorize the Chairman/Purchasing Division Commissioner for the Baldwin County Commission to approve any necessary addendums or clarifications if required after the bid is advertised.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Previous Commission action/date: N/A
Background: The Baldwin County Highway Department is requesting that a competitive bid be placed to refurbish a 2011 Freightliner M2 Herbicide Truck. The computerized equipment is out of date and does not have the ability to produce reports that can be uploaded into GIS for herbicide tracking. Due to safety concerns (having to go against traffic on the Baldwin Beach Express) and to improve the efficiency of the herbicide application, an additional spray head is needed and both spray heads will be mounted to the front bumper. Recommend the Commission approve the bid specifications and authorize the Purchasing Director to place a competitive bid.
