STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Approve the request by the Bay Minette Beautification Committee, Committee on Public Art (COPA), to place a metal sculpture on the Bay Minette Courthouse Square in the center of the flower bed on the curb in front of the County Administration Building.
COPA will purchase/sponsor the custom 3D metal sculpture, designed and constructed by artist Ryan Carney with AAA Iron Works, and be responsible for all costs for the placement and maintenance of the sculpture.

Background: June 11, 2019, BCC Work Session - Tina Covington, Community Relations Coordinator, City of Bay Minette, attended to the Commission work session on behalf of the Committee on Public Art (COPA), which is a part of the Bay Minette Beautification Committee to discuss the Committee’s proposal to place public art pieces in Bay Minette, with one proposed location being on the Bay Minette Courthouse Square in the center of the flower bed on the curb in front of the County Administration Building.
The design for a metal sculpture that COPA would like to purchase/sponsor would be a custom 3D metal sculpture, designed and constructed by artist Ryan Carney with AAA Iron Works.
